The focus of this year’s annual conference is medical education. “Let us talk about the medical education of physicians” by the dean of the medical school, and talk about “the main policies promoted by the government” by the chief executive officer of the evaluation agency. In addition, based on the educational point of view, “Analyze the respiratory therapy profession education in the United States and Canada, what is our direction?” speech by Chin-Jung Liu, PhD, RRT. We hope to summarize Taiwan’s own direction of respiratory therapy education. There are also research paper poster contests, EBM contests, essay slogans and Lung Bowl rush answers. The agenda also includes the experience of respiratory therapists in supporting the Kingdom of Eswatini and the process of bringing hemophilia children back from mainland China.
Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, we also invited three respiratory therapists serving in the United States; they are including Chen Shi-Min RRT at the Johns Hopkins University Hospital, Pan Li-Qin RRT at Randall Children Hospital and Vitoria Liu RRT, working at Piedmont healthcare, Atlanta. They provided the current experience of fighting the COVID-19 virus in the United States via video.
