The event creates awareness and interest in the health sciences field as well as the technological advancements. Their respiratory care department was among the interests featured as a profession. Their department had the opportunity to exhibit simulation mannequins, ventilators, pulmonary function portable machines and other respiratory care equipment utilized in academic and hospital settings, and how they are used to promote lung health as well as to treat asthma and COPD.
Stations like pulmonary function test, airway management and patient assessment were among the interactive attractions. The public had the chance to manipulate and practice on those stations. Students from Prince Sultan Military College managed the RC station and performed demonstrations with supervision from the instructors. Visitors and children learned more about procedures like auscultation or taking a pulse. They did more than 500 PFTs for visitors, including a consultation on their results from a chest physician.
