Rania A. El-Farrash, MD Elected as 1st Governor for Egypt to ICRC
Dr. Rania El-Farrash, MD
As Governor, she is entitled to vote on all action items that come before the Council and serve as the point of contact for helping to establish international standards and projects for the advancement of respiratory care in her home country. Dr. El-Farrash is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Neonatology at Ain Shams University Hospitals Cairo, Egypt. She is a member of the Faculty of Medicine, Head of the NICU RT Team, and Vice President of the Pediatric Department Council. Her research has evolved around the area of neonatal mechanical ventilation, and has resulted in many international publications. She has earned many academic honors and awards – the latest of which is the State Encouragement Award in the Field of Medicine 2013-2014 – awarded by the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology. Dr. El-Farrash is committed to promote the provision of quality respiratory care in university hospitals, and to establish the application of respiratory care science in Egypt.
